On Sunday, 28 September 2014, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Bytlaukio village, on Kaltinėnų street, a Volkswagen Passat rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.06‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
