On Saturday, 14 November 2015, at night at 3:20, in Šilalės district municipality, Bytlaukio village, on the Balsiai–Kaltinėnai–Kražiai regional road (kilometre 8.37), a Peugeot 307 ran off the road. Three people were injured — a 17-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized), a 18-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized) and a 18-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Peugeot (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
