On Monday, 3 November 2014, in the afternoon at 16:34, in Vilnius, on Ažuolyno street near No. 9, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a BMW 325. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
