On Tuesday, 4 November 2014, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kauno district municipality, Užliedžių village, on Plento street, at the junction with Griežlės street, a Volvo V40 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volvo (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
