On Tuesday, 11 November 2014, in the evening at 22:30, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on Nepriklausomybės street near No. 70, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Galant, a Mitsubishi Lancer and a Citroen Xsara Picasso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Galant (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (3.50‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
