On Monday, 17 November 2014, in the morning at 9:04, in Biržų district municipality, on Kęstučio street, at the junction with Vabalninko street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Daihatsu Applause and a Volkswagen Caravelle registered in Norway. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Daihatsu, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
