On Saturday, 29 November 2014, in the afternoon at 13:13, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 199.41), a Ford Transit FT 100 rolled over. Four people were injured — the 47-year-old driver of the Ford (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 23-year-old passenger of the Ford (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 33-year-old passenger of the Ford (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 24-year-old passenger of the Ford (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Ford (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.12‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
