On Friday, 19 December 2014, in the evening at 19:20, in Kauno district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 105A, an Opel Omega hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
