On Monday, 22 December 2014, in the evening at 17:55, in Kaunas, on S. Žukausko street, at the junction with P. Lukšio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320, an Opel Zafira and a Mercedes-Benz 518. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
