On Tuesday, 23 December 2014, in the evening at 18:45, in Marijampolės municipality, on V. Kudirkos street, at the junction with Dariaus ir Girėno street, a Toyota RAV4 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Toyota (12 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
