On Sunday, 4 January 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Radiškis–Anykščiai–Rokiškis national road (kilometre 5.25), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Primera and a Nissan X-Trail registered in Ukraine. One person was injured — a 53-year-old passenger of the Nissan X-Trail (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Nissan Primera (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
