On Saturday, 5 January 2019, in the afternoon at 15:15, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Radiškis–Anykščiai–Rokiškis national road (kilometre 3.30), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant and a BMW 730. Two people were injured — the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized) and a 19-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Audi (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
