On Wednesday, 14 January 2015, in the evening at 17:34, in Šiaulių district municipality, Aukštelkės village, on Poilsio street, at the junction with A12 street, an Opel Vectra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Opel (6 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
