On Monday, 19 January 2015, in the morning at 8:48, in Plungės district municipality, on the Plungė–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 10.75), a Volkswagen Golf registered in Great Britain ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Golf (7 years of driving experience), who was driving fatigued and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
