On Friday, 16 January 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on Žemaičių pl. near No. 66, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira and a Mercedes-Benz ML 320 CDI 4MATIC. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
