On Wednesday, 21 January 2015, at night at 23:10, in Kaunas, on Jonavos street near No. 60, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a BMW 523. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
