On Sunday, 24 September 2017, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Jonavos street near No. 60, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4, a Mitsubishi Carisma, a Volkswagen Sharan and a Volkswagen Caravelle. One person was injured — the 26-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
