On Friday, 23 January 2015, in the evening at 19:46, in Kaunas, on Europos pr., at the junction with Vilties street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a DAF SB 250 and a BMW 320. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the DAF (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
