On Sunday, 25 January 2015, in the evening at 20:50, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 42), a DAF FT XF95 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the DAF (a citizen of Poland) (20 years of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
