On Sunday, 18 January 2015, in the evening at 18:45, in Šilutės district municipality, Vilkyčių village, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Mercedes-Benz C220. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi (5 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
