On Wednesday, 28 January 2015, at night at 0:57, in Palangos city municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 36.32), a Peugeot 508 registered in Latvia hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Peugeot (a citizen of Latvia) (26 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed.
