On Friday, 30 January 2015, in the afternoon at 12:50, in Kaunas, on Slėnio street near No. 21, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
