On Monday, 1 August 2016, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Slėnio street, at the junction with Naručio street, a Saab 9-3 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Saab (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
