On Wednesday, 4 February 2015, in the morning at 10:10, in Šilutės district municipality, on M. Jankaus street near No. 4, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Renault Megane Scenic hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 80-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Renault (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
