On Sunday, 8 February 2015, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street, at the junction with Europos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a BMW 528. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
