On Thursday, 26 July 2018, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street, at the junction with Europos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Pajero, a Volkswagen Crafter, an Audi A6, a Volkswagen FOX, a Seat Altea and a Suzuki Vitara. One person was injured — the 42-year-old driver of the Suzuki (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (38 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
