On Tuesday, 10 February 2015, in the morning at 7:45, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 291.11), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a VWL - registered in Czechia and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the VWL (a citizen of Czechia) (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
