On Tuesday, 24 February 2015, at night at 23:36, in Kaunas, on Prancūzų street, at the junction with Alsėdžių street, a Seat Toledo ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Seat (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
