On Monday, 9 March 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 50), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland, a Volvo FH 440 and a Schwarzmueller SPA 3/E registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Poland) (35 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
