On Wednesday, 11 March 2015, in the evening at 18:15, in Šiauliai, on Sedos street, at the junction with Plungės street, a Polaris registered in United States rolled over. One person was injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Polaris (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Polaris (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.94‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
