On Sunday, 15 March 2015, at night at 2:30, in Kaunas, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Birštono street, a BMW 320D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (a citizen of Azerbaijan) (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.05‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
