On Thursday, 19 March 2015, in the morning at 5:50, in Kaunas, on Tunelio street near No. 16, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E 320 CDI and a Neoplan N 122 registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
