On Friday, 27 March 2015, in the evening at 17:04, in Utenos district municipality, on Vaižganto street near No. 40, a Suzuki GSX-R 750 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 71-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Suzuki, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
