On Sunday, 29 March 2015, in the morning at 7:28, in Vilnius, on Tūkstantmečio street, at the junction with Vilkpėdės street, an Opel Zafira hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
