On Saturday, 12 January 2019, at night at 23:06, in Vilnius, on Tūkstantmečio street, a BMW 318 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.03‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
