On Friday, 10 April 2015, in the evening at 20:35, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 58.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
