On Wednesday, 15 April 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Kovo 11-osios street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Peugeot 207. One person was injured — the 26-year-old driver of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Opel (7 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
