On Sunday, 19 April 2015, in the evening at 22:53, in Klaipėda, on Poilsio street, at the junction with Kalnupės street, a Toyota Avensis hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 21-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Toyota (30 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when crossing an intersection.
