On Sunday, 26 April 2015, in the morning at 8:40, in Biržų district municipality, on Pasvalio street, at the junction with Skaistkalnės street, a Volvo V50 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.59‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
