On Saturday, 2 May 2015, in the morning at 10:20, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 46.94), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Yamaha XV 1600, a Renault Megane Scenic and a Honda VTX1800. Two people were injured — the 46-year-old driver of the Yamaha (hospitalized) and the 42-year-old driver of the Honda (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Yamaha (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
