On Sunday, 10 May 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Vandžiogalos street, at the junction with Obelynės street, an Opel Astra-G-Caravan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 82-year-old driver of the Opel (55 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.40‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
