On Friday, 22 May 2015, in the morning at around 8:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, Seiliūnų village, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 17.61), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FM registered in Poland and a Setra S 215 HR. One person was injured — the 54-year-old driver of the Setra (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Poland) (3 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
