On Monday, 8 June 2015, in the evening at 20:55, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 99.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant and an Audi A4 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Audi A4 Avant (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
