On Thursday, 18 June 2015, at night at 23:55, in Marijampolės municipality, on Kauno street near No. 35, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz C 200 CDI and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
