On Friday, 19 June 2015, in the afternoon at 12:51, in Tauragės district municipality, on D. Girėno street, at the junction with Veterinarijos street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna and a BMW 320I. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Renault, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
