On Sunday, 28 June 2015, in the evening at 20:34, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Maišiagala–Širvintos regional road (kilometre 12.49), a Peugeot 306 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
