On Friday, 3 July 2015, in the morning at 6:35, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 111), a Peugeot 206 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
