On Saturday, 18 July 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) national road (kilometre 221.50), a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a bicycle and a BMW 530D Xdrive. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 69-year-old cyclist, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
