On Tuesday, 21 July 2015, in the afternoon at 14:45, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Aristava–Kėdainiai–Cinkiškiai national road (kilometre 25.22), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Hiace registered in Norway and a Volkswagen Golf. Three people were injured — the 43-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized), a 2-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 4-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Toyota (6 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
