On Wednesday, 5 August 2015, in the afternoon at 13:45, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 38.65), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Sharan and a Hyundai Elantra registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (12 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
